Hi, I’m amy mclaughlin.
The last few years have seen quite a number of changes in my life. After over 30 years as a wildlife biologist, I found myself longing to do something completely different. Having enjoyed designing the occasional t-shirt or logo for various church events or professional conferences in the past, I decided to return to school for a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.
My passion is creating logos, branding packages and other designs that will help small businesses and non-profits stand out from the crowd. I still retain my love for ornithology and so chose to pay homage to “spreading my wings” and the start of a new adventure by naming my new studio “Time To Fly Designs”.
Other changes included getting married, selling one home, and purchasing another, redecorating, and moving! I currently live on 36 acres in Maine with my husband and our dogs and enjoy watching all the wildlife with whom we share our land. I have a variety of interests that range from things like wildlife photography, dog sports, archery and horseback riding to studying history, Shakespeare and learning foreign languages (French and Irish). Je parle un peu français agus tá cúpla focal Gaeilge agam.
My Approach
I love the challenge that comes from creating logos, brand identities and print designs. I work closely with clients to make sure your logo and brand identity match your vision and values. Let me help your small business, non-profit organization or charity create a logo, branding package, posters, flyers, t-shirts, or other advertisements that make BIG impressions!.
my logo
My logo mark is inspired by the Red Kite, which is an endangered raptor that breeds in Europe. I was lucky enough to see and photograph them on a trip to Scotland in 2014.
