piddle paddle tours: tri-fold brochure
Designed for a tour company on the East coast that provides boating or ocean adventures, such as whale watching, fishing excursions, swimming with sting rays or viewing sea turtles, the intended audience for this brochure included tourists who might not have seen their digital advertising online. The brochures were intended to be placed at the company’s information center, various locations throughout the town and at various rest stops. To be effective, this brochure needed to show imagery that would attract attention, especially on the cover fold. The design does this, not only through the engaging cover photo, but also with the bold image of the turtle on the inside. High contrast text makes information easy to read, while larger and differently colored text highlights the contact information for the tour company, making it easy for readers to find.
I chose a color palette meant to invoke the sea, with blues, greens and a coral color. The white text color, called “Mint Cream”, provides a nice contrast, while the coral color compliments the blue background.
